Hi there!  I’m Teresa Houston, an experienced Human Resource professional located in the South.   I have worked for 25 years in Manufacturing , Distribution and Energy, in a variety of roles – HR Business Partner, Employee Relations and Labor Relations.  I also have 7+ years in Lean & 6-sigma transformation and 13 years of Safety/OSHA VPP experience.  

I spent my early years as a military brat, which led me to an enjoyment of travel.  I have journeyed all over the US and Europe.  My adventurous mother has been my principal travel partner, along with my grown sons.

I enjoy cities but I prefer to live in small towns.  The friendliness and slower pace is special.

I love Human Resources.  I love the challenge of bringing order to chaos.  I love working through tough situations and investigations, doing a thorough root cause analysis, and strategizing a better road map for improvement.  This might be a contentious union relationship, a problem department/supervisor, a problem employee, or a transactional kaizen to improve work flow.  Improving these are the key to bottom-line success.  In the end, that is where HR brings value to an organization.
